I AM...
The Acudetox Clinic™ exists to expand access to affordable, trauma-informed Acudetox services by connecting individuals with qualified providers delivering the standardized NADA protocol.
We believe healing should not be limited by cost, awareness, or access. Through partnerships with licensed providers and community organizations, we work to reduce barriers to care while maintaining high standards of professionalism, compassion, and clinical integrity.
We envision a future in which Acudetox is widely recognized as an accessible complement to comprehensive trauma-informed care and an important supportive intervention for individuals living with the effects of post-traumatic stress (PTSD).
Our passion is expanding access to Acudetox at affordable rate, particularly within Black, Indigenous, and other Communities of Color (BIPOC), where PTSD and the lasting effects of generational and childhood trauma often go untreated due to systemic barriers to quality mental health care. We believe Acudetox holds significant potential to support individuals working to heal from unresolved trauma by promoting nervous system regulation and creating a foundation for deeper therapeutic work when integrated into comprehensive mental health treatment.
Acudetox is a standardized form of auricular (ear) acupuncture developed by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (NADA). The protocol involves the gentle placement of five sterile acupuncture needles in specific points on each ear while clients rest quietly in a calm, therapeutic environment.
For decades, the NADA protocol has been incorporated into behavioral health programs, addiction recovery settings, community wellness initiatives, disaster response efforts, and integrated healthcare systems throughout the world. As a complementary clinical intervention, it is commonly used alongside professional medical and mental health treatment to support individuals experiencing:
Trauma and trauma-related symptoms
Chronic stress
Anxiety
Emotional dysregulation
Substance use recovery
Sleep disturbances
Grief and loss
General emotional wellness
Because Acudetox is a complementary therapy, it is intended to be incorporated into a comprehensive treatment plan rather than used as a stand-alone intervention for mental health conditions.
"Acudetox is one of the most untapped modalities available to support healing from PTSD. I am deeply grateful for the role it has played in my own recovery and for the transformative changes I have witnessed in the lives of my clients working through the effects of childhood and generational trauma. I care about expanding access to this remarkable treatment, especially within traditionally underserved communities where people often go without treatment for trauma."
